Cartographer

A person who draws or produces maps.

That’s not what I do. I’m going to be doing coffee-cart catering for corporate events, private parties, and frankly, whatever else you guys would want to hire me for. I guess that would make me a cart-ographer.

The decision to buy a coffee cart and push into catering was not an easy one. It took quite a bit of time. A decent amount of soul-searching. And a whole lot of “if this fails, can we re-purpose the cart into a side-table so it’s not a total waste of money?”

But here’s the loose timeline:

Realization: Holy shit this cold brew is elite.

Reaction: How do I get this in more peoples’ mouths?

Realization: People keep asking for it. How can we scale?

Reaction: Let’s package it in cans/bottles and sell locally.

Realization: Oh my, packaging is expensive and the logistics are near impossible.

Reaction: Let’s serve on the spot. Pop-ups and public markets!

Realization: Welp, serving on the spot is an insane amount of work and hardly scalable. But I had a ton of fun and it was wildly rewarding.

Reaction: Coffee cart catering. I am going to be the best coffee cart caterer in New Jersey. And beyond.

I’m eagerly awaiting the next realization. This feels like the correct move. It feels like the best way to get High Frequency Coffee on as many palates as possible.

Even if it’s not the correct move, who cares? I’m going to learn a ton. I’m going to have oodles of fun. I’m going to meet some incredible people. I’m going to bring a smile to my clients’ faces.

And on this silly little rock we’re floating on, isn’t that what it’s all about?
